Let go of the ways you thought life
would unfold; the holding of plans
or dreams or expectations – Let it
all go. Save your strength to swim
with the tide.
The choice to fight what is here before
you now will only result in struggle,
fear, and desperate attempts to flee
from the very energy you long for.
Let go. Let it all go and flow with the
grace that washes through your days
whether you receive it gently or
with all your quills raised to defend
against invaders.
Take this on faith: the mind may never
find the explanations that it seeks, but
you will move forward nonetheless.
Let go, and the wave’s crest will carry
you to unknown shores, beyond your
wildest dreams or destinations. Let it
all go and find the place of rest and
peace, and certain transformation.
~ Danna Faulds
Another wonder from A First Sip. A year or so ago I wrote, on twitter and Facebook, that “I truly believe that all our suffering comes from our attachment to how we thought it would be.” I also wear the words Let Go around my neck. This poem speaks to me.
Good Morning! We have had a crazy week here- our house went on the market on Monday… so I just had the chance to sit down and read an entire week of your blog posts. That was a treat! And how funny… I took an on-line writing class with Caroline Grant years ago and was able to meet her in person too. I pre-ordered Cassoulet the moment I could! Small world…
I have “Surrender” written all over the place (it’s even my password on some stuff!) so I can make myself remember that…same concept: Let go. Let it be. Allow the Universe to take over. Stop trying to control everything. I can go on and on…
we are in sync once again–I’ve been working around this poem for a few days:

bless you, Lindsey!
What a great message. Printing and posting right next to my desk so I can read this daily!
Yes! This feels so true. Thank you for sharing.
This really speaks to me as well- thanks for the reminder. “Flow with the grace”- I will do my best.
Hard to do, at least for me! 🙂 xo
Such a beautiful invitation I needed on this difficult day! Thank you for sharing.
Oh, I so needed to read this right now. Beautiful words. Thank you!
Wow. I really needed this, especially today.
