It is such an immense honor to be profiled on Cynthia Newberry Martin’s blog, Catching Days. She runs a wonderful series, called How We Spend Our Days, which features a writer each month talking about, literally, what they do during the day. It is quite literally a dream come true to read Cynthia’s extraordinarily generous words introducing me.
And today my piece, about a typical January day, went live. I hope you will read not only this short essay, but also poke around Cynthia’s blog. Other writers in her series include Dani Shapiro, Pam Houston, Cheryl Strayed, Jane Smiley, and Anne Hood. Did I not mention: a dream come true?
Thank you so much, Cynthia, for this enormous honor.
Oh I love this! I used to be in a writer’s group with Cynthia–and am so glad you two have found each other!
I love this! You are one very busy lady! I also admire your ability to get up so early and run when it’s so cold.
thank you for introducing me to this series! The Annie Dillard quote has been on my mind for the past two days and inspired my latest post. so glad i found your blog a year ago 🙂
Thank you, Lindsey, for sharing one of your precious days. And it’s such a pleasure to see you at Catching Days.
Hey to Christina!
I came across the Catching Days post, which then led me to your site LIndsey, and I am so glad I spent 30 minutes or so reading and browsing. I feel more inspired to live in the momet. Only a handful of years behind you on the Ferris Wheel, I tend to always be galloping through my time, my days. It is thrist-quenchingly soothing to be reminded that our days and how we spend them COUNTS! I will try to make more of an effort to enjoy those days…
Thank you for sharing so much here on your blog.
Thank you so, so much for this incredibly generous comment. I so appreciate hearing it! xox
