Photo Wednesday 29: January light

photo

There is absolutely nothing like January light.  Every morning I try to capture the glow of the light on bare branches.  Every morning I fail.  I think Gerard Manley Hopkins did it better in words than I will ever do in photographs: the world is charged with the grandeur of God.  It always is, but I for one see it most of all in January light.

  1. Gorgeous picture! I just sent off notes to a wonderful woman I have found is helping me to re-design my website. She is going to do some photography for my site and when listing things I loved along with chidlren’s books of course, I included light coming through bare tree branches! Love, love, love!

  2. I love this picture, Lindsey. You know that my word for the year is “light.” Inspired by you and all your pictures of the sky. Yes, thank you for encouraging me to look up at this vast design of clouds and light and sun and openness. Love to you, Lisa
